The St George Illawarra Dragons have today announced the re-signing of National Youth Competition team and Australian Schoolboy representative trio Jacob Host, Luciano Leilua and Hame Sele to new respective contracts.
Local Renown United junior Jacob Host, who can play as either a prop or second-rower, has been signed for a further three seasons until at least the end of the 2017.
Furthermore, local Hurstville United junior Luciano Leilua and Kingsgrove Colts junior Hame Sele, both of whom can play in the forward pack, have additionally been signed for a further two seasons, until at least the end of 2016 respectively.
All three local juniors are presently part of the Club’s National Youth Competition team and were recently named in the 2014 touring Australian Schoolboy squad following impressive displays for NSWCCC U18 (Host) and NSWCHS U18 (Leilua and Sele) in the 18 Years Championships held earlier this month in Darwin.
The Dragons trio joined the Dragons High Performance Unit in 2010 before later that season going on to play junior representative football.
All were additionally named in the NSW Blues U18 State of Origin team which defeated the Queensland Maroons earlier this season.
“It is very pleasing to see that local juniors Jacob, Luciano and Hame have all opted to continue their footballing development with the Dragons,” said Dragons Recruitment Manager Ben Haran.
“All three players have risen through our junior systems and were part of our HPU squad before this season graduating on to our NYC squad.
“Each has demonstrated their desire to continue learning and they all have a bright future with this Club.”
