The Australia international suffered the injury while on representative duty with the NSW Blues during the 18-14 victory over the Queensland Maroons in the third State of Origin fixture at ANZ Stadium, Olympic Park on Wednesday.
“We can confirm that Josh has suffered a fractured jaw which occurred during his involvement representing the NSW Blues and he will be unavailable for at least the next four-to-six weeks,” said Dragons Head of Medical & Performance Tony Ayoub.
“It is disappointing for Josh but following on from his surgery he will commence his rehabilitation which he is now focused on.”
