Community impact
The CHPC will enable the Dragons to grow its 20-plus community programs that currently engage with 114,000 participants annually. We are projected to connect to 3,500 additional students and young players at CHPC each year through a variety of programs including:
- Best You Can Be: Already running in over 110 schools, the CHPC will allow us to bring students to our own classroom and community field to get a fuller experience from the Dragons
- Our outreach schools program will expand on our 26 schools
- Homework Club: Run in collaboration with The Smith Family's 'Learning for Life'. It is currently being run in limited capacity due to venue capacity constraints.
- Holiday clinics
- Primary School gala days
- NRL School 2 Work program
St George Illawarra Dragons respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples, where our games are played, our programs are conducted and in the communities we support.
