St George Illawarra Dragons centre Dylan Farrell will commence his rehabilitation after having surgery on his ruptured pectoral muscle on Wednesday.
The Culburra Dolphins junior previously had scans on the injury prior to surgery after suffering the ailment during the 28-24 loss to the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park, Melbourne on Monday.
Farrell has not been provided a definitive time-frame on his recovery but is expected to be available for the Red V later this season.
“Dylan has had his pectoral muscle repaired and we’ve already sighted him after the surgery,” said Dragons Performance Director Andrew Gray.
“He’s focused on his rehabilitation and will be in a sling for a few weeks and then we’ll get started.
“We don’t have a definitive time frame when he will be back but he’ll definitely be available to play for us again this season at some stage.”
