The St George Illawarra Dragons will compete in three countries across two hemispheres after announcing their pre-season fixtures for 2015.

The Dragons first hit-out of the pre-season will be the second annual NRL Auckland Nines tournament which will take place at Eden Park, Auckland across Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1.

The Red-and-Whites will compete within the Rangitoto pool against the Parramatta Eels, Newcastle Knights and Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.

The nine-man-per-side tournament will be competed over two days with all 16 NRL teams involved competing for a massive prize pool of $2.34 million.

“The NRL Auckland Nines proved to be a very unique concept when it was introduced ahead of last season, and was a great event for all players and spectators alike,” said Head Coach Paul McGregor.

“The Charity Shield is always an important part of our pre-season preparation due to the history and traditions associated with it,” said McGregor.

“It always provides a strong and intense atmosphere for all players involved in the game and I have no doubt it will be the case this time around again.”

Red V Members will receive emails advising of all ticketing details once they go on sale as confirmed by Ticketek.

Please note that Red V Members who purchase either Platinum, All In, Metro Plus or West Wing memberships will receive entry to the Charity Shield fixture included in their package.
