The St George Illawarra Dragons would like to congratulate Josh Dugan, Dan Hunt, Trent Merrin and Joel Thompson who were all presented with their Youth and Community Services Certificate 4 from Illawarra TAFE recently.
Furthermore, both Hunt and Thompson were also presented with their Drugs and Alcohol Certificate 4 as well as Mental Health Certificate 4 respectively.
The Dragons quartet were presented their respective qualifications in front of their teammates and Head Coach Paul McGregor who were all in attendance on the day.
“I have always had a strong interested in social work and these three certificates are the first step towards me planning for my career post-rugby league,” said Thompson.
“The Dragons were very understanding of my desire to undertake these courses and were very supportive of my requirements to help make this day become a reality.
“It is great to have been joined by my fellow teammates Josh, Dan and Trent on the podium and I look forward to being able to implement what I have learned into the real world.”
