St George Illawarra Dragons winger Jason Nightingale is enjoying his prolonged off-season but is eager to return to training alongside his new teammates.
The New Zealand international is in the midst of some extended down-time following his representative involvement in the Four Nations tournament in which scored in all four fixtures.
The Renown United junior now has his sights set on recuperating his body as well as plan his upcoming wedding.
“It’s great to be back here in Sydney, but I’ve really enjoyed the last month with footy, obviously winning helps,” said Nightingale.
“I was in camp with a great bunch of guys and the staff did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed while we were on tour.
“It was awesome playing in front of our home fans and having the Final there; we had the majority of our games in New Zealand so I spent a good amount of time catching up with family.
“It was good to score a try in every game, I was on the end of some really great plays which made it easy for me.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting all the new recruits and introducing myself to them; I can’t wait to see what they have to offer the Club.
“I’m now considered an older player in the Club so I’m really eager to pass on my knowledge and help the younger guys in the side.
“I have my wedding coming up so it’s good to have some holidays and a bit of time to plan it all.”
