The Illawarra Cutters continue their travels this weekend when they face Wyong Roos at Morry Breen Oval, Wyong on Saturday.

With the Cutters coming off a sound victory against the Wests Tigers, they will be looking to continue that run of form with the team who had a surprising loss to the North Sydney Bears last weekend.

Coach Scott Logan was happy with the win but was adamant that it was only a matter of time before their luck turned around, having been involved in some close losses in the previous weeks.

“It’s been a scratchy start to the year; we’ve been in most games and the effort in the last couple of weeks has been really good and we haven’t had much luck”, said Logan.

“So, we were able to replicate that effort today and there was that same desire and I thought a number of players played well and I’m relieved to get the win”, he said.

This week a number of players have been named on the extended bench for the St George Illawarra Dragons first-grade side, including leading try scorer Kiti Glymin.

So, some new faces come into the side along with experienced players in Justin Hunt, Kris Keating and Nathan Green.

For the Roos, being the Sydney Roosters feeder team they have named a strong outfit including former Sharks player Nathan Stapleton and promising front-rower Magnus Stromquist.
