The St George Illawarra Dragons High Performance Department travelled south to identify potential future prospects within the Riverina area on Tuesday.

A Dragons contingent, led by Recruitment Manager Ben Haran, Ambassador Shaun Timmins and Dan Hunt, travelled to Junee to conduct a day-long coaching clinic for over 10 talented youngsters from across the area.

“The Riverina region is traditionally home to a large rugby league basin brimming with a lot of talented young players,” said Haran.

“This visit featured over 10 players who were assessed throughout the day-long clinic which involved a variety of activities including conditioning and ball skills.

“These players really benefit from the visits as many do not have the opportunity to travel up to the Illawarra for assessment.

“It is good to let them know that their hard work is being recognised and not going unnoticed.”
