The St George Illawarra Dragons have announced that Josh McCrone and Kalifa Fai Fai Loa have agreed to terms on a two-year contract that will see them join the Club from next season until at least the end of 2017.
McCrone, 28, who can play as hooker as well as in the halves, has been released by the Canberra Raiders for the 2016 season and has played 133 NRL games to date.
The Temora Dragons junior was previously with the Penrith Panthers (2008) and is a three-time NSW Country Origin representative (2012-14).
“Josh is a skilled player who will add valuable experience in the dummy-half position,” said Dragons Director of Recruitment and Retention Peter Mulholland.
“He possesses a smart kicking game as well as speed off the mark.”
Faifai Loa, 25, made his first-grade debut for the Dragons in Round 11 of the 2010 season against the Canberra Raiders and played two games for the Club before joining the North Queensland Cowboys the following year.
The versatile former Dragons National Youth Competition team graduate, who can play on the wing, in the centres or as fullback, will join the Club from the Gold Coast Titans and has played 53 NRL games in total to date.
The Marist Saints junior had additionally represented both New Zealand (2011) and Samoa (2013) at international representative level.
“Kalifa is a versatile player who covers several attacking positions across the backline,” said Dragons Director of Recruitment and Retention Peter Mulholland.
“He provides excellent speed and is a natural try-scorer".
McCrone and Fai Fai Loa will join the Dragons in November.
