St George Illawarra Dragons winger Nene Macdonald hasn’t had your ordinary pre-season since arriving at the Club in November.
Not only is Macdonald one of the Dragons’ newest recruits, the Papua New Guinea international has successfully completed a Queensland Origin Emerging Squad camp while also playing for the NRL World All Stars last week in Newcastle.
Throw in the fact he represented the Red V at the Auckland Nines – and with the Charity Shield to come this Sunday afternoon against South Sydney at ANZ Stadium – you can understand why Macdonald was starting to miss his own bed.
