St George Illawarra's NYC side have suffered a huge 46-12 defeat to the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Friday afternoon.
The Broncos had the scoring underway within six minutes when hooker Tristan Hope crossed the white stripe.
The Dragons hit back in the 17th minute when Jason Gillard picked up a scrappy ball out wide and crossed in the corner.
Broncos halfback Gerome Burns scored in the 24th minute following a long-winding run, though the Red V responded nine minutes later through Reuben Garrick.
Down 12-8 at half-time, the Dragons would also have to make do without prop TJ Uele for the first 10 minutes of the second half after he was sin-binned following a scuffle at the break.
The Broncos were able to score three tries in Uele's absence; the first two were through hooker Hope who had a hat-trick by the 47th minute.
Broncos winger Herbie Farnworth scored a lucky try three minutes later when a wayward Hope kick travelled directly across field.
The Dragons stayed in the hunt when fullback Zac Lomax scored off a scrum play in the 55th minute.
But the Broncos put any hope of a Dragons comeback to bed very quickly thanks to tries from centre Hayden O'Hara and five-eighth Josh Faiud.
Brisbane rounded out the 34-point win when Burns scored his second try in the final two minutes.
