St George Illawarra outside back Zac Lomax suffered a hand injury at training on Wednesday and will miss this weekend's game.
As a result, the NRL have granted the club approval to replace Lomax in the Dragons' 21-man squad ahead of this weekend's top of the table clash against the Penrith Panthers.
Reuben Garrick will now come into the Dragons' NRL squad named to face Penrith in jersey 22 and will potentially make his first grade debut as a result.
Consistency, defence Garrick's focus
A return to play date for Lomax is yet to be determined.
