The St George Illawarra Dragons have today announced the signing of Corey Norman on a three-year deal.
Norman will join the Red V immediately from the Parramatta Eels and will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2021 Telstra Premiership season.
The 27-year-old has played 169 NRL games to date during time spent at the Brisbane Broncos (2010-2013) and the Eels (2014-2018).
The versatile Beenleigh Lions junior was excited to make the move to the Dragons.
"It's a big day for myself and my family. There are some exciting times ahead," Norman said.
"The Dragons squad at the moment is really good and coming off a good year so I'm really looking forward to playing with the boys and spending plenty of good seasons here."
Corey Norman joins the Dragons
Dragons Director of Rugby League Pathways and List Management Ian Millward was pleased to have a player of Norman's quality join the club's ranks.
"Corey is a player who will entertain all members and fans with his ability in attack. He is a player who we see will take us to the next level with the way he plays the game," Millward said.
"When we make these decisions, it's not always about pure recruitment. We talk to our senior players, we speak to our coach. Overall, we have been impressed.
"Straight away, there will be speculation around the position he'll play and that'll be up to the coach. We feel Corey as a quality player will give Paul (coach McGregor) an opportunity to work with some really outstanding talent."
Norman's signing sees him among the likes of Korbin Sims, Lachlan Maranta, Mikaele Ravalawa, Eddie Blacker, Lachlan Timm and Jonus Pearson to have joined the Red V ahead of the 2019 season.
The Dragons have now filled 29 of the required Top 30 roster positions ahead of the 2019 season.
