The St George Illawarra Dragons will head to Maitland's No. 1 Sportsground on Saturday, February 22 for a pre-season trial triple-header against the Newcastle Knights.
The NRL, Canterbury Cup NSW and Jersey Flegg Dragons will all play their Newcastle counterparts, with the action to commence at 1:30pm. The NRL team will kick-off at 5:30pm.
The 2020 season can't come quick enough according to Dragons Chief Executive Brian Johnston, in what will be the club's first official hit-out for the year.
"Our pre-season trial against the Knights will prove the perfect preparation for the upcoming season, as we look to right the wrongs of the previous year," Johnston said.
"We are excited to head out to country New South Wales for both our pre-season trials in 2020; to lift the spirits of those who have recently faced adverse circumstances, whether through drought or the bushfires."
Maitland Mayor Loretta Baker said: "I encourage everyone to get their tickets and come along for what will no doubt be a great day at the footy."
General sale tickets for the match are on sale on Tuesday, December 17 (2pm) and can be purchased online via Ticketek, maitlandevents.com.au or at the Maitland Visitor Information Centre.
Tickets are $20 for grandstand seating, while general admission is $10. Children tickets (aged 4-12) are $5, while kids aged three and under can enter for free. Children's tickets cannot be purchased separately and will need to be bought with adult tickets.
