The Dragons gifted the Parramatta Eels with their first defeat of the season with a confident 26-12 victory on Sunday.

It wasn't just attack that spurred the Dragons towards victory, a tough and resistant defensive display also contributed to the upset victory.

Jack Bird opened proceedings when he charged onto a matt Dufty pass and catapulted across the try line. Dufty was in the mix shortly after when he threw a pin-point cut-out pass to Mikaele Ravalawa who planted the ball down in the corner.

In the dying stages Adam Clune sealed the win when he broke through the Eels' defence and found Matt Dufty on his inside. And finally, Mikaele Ravalawa receives a second nomination for his bone-crunching defence which will make any player think twice before running down his edge.
