Dragons confirm Mbye signing

St George Illawarra have confirmed the signing of Wests Tigers utility Moses Mbye until at least the end of the 2023 NRL Telstra Premiership season.

Mbye has played 154 first grade games to date following his 2014 debut at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

The three-time Queensland Origin representative is capable of playing anywhere in the backline as well as at hooker.

Dragons general manager of football Ben Haran was pleased to have the Mbye signing completed after prolonged discussions.

"Moses is a player we discussed in detail and while it has taken some time for the club to reach a position where we're comfortable in recruiting him, we couldn't be happier bringing in a player of his experience," Haran said.

"Moses's ability to play multiple positions was something we identified as needing in order to strengthen our roster.

"The character of Moses and the qualities he'll bring to the Dragons next year will only be beneficial to the team environment."

Mbye's arrival at the Dragons in 2022 follows the Dragons' recent re-signing of Tyrell Fuimaono and the recruitment of Queensland Origin duo Francis Molo and Jaydn Su'A as well as England international George Burgess.
