Member appreciation week wrap-up

The Dragons would like to thank all Red V members once again for their support throughout the 2021 season.

The Dragons' members appreciation week acknowledged and rewarded our loyal members with several exciting prizes and initiatives. A big congratulations to those who were selected as prize winners and thank you to all members who got involved.

"Ben Hunt: I like Ben Hunt because he plays hard and will do anything for the club. I like him because he has lots of skill and has been playing for the Dragons for a long time. I like him because he has been playing for the Dragons for a long time and cheers up my family when they are angry or sad."

"Jason Nightingale: I grew up watching him from start to finish and he's one of the most underrated players of all time. He was loyal, hardworking and just an overall decent human being which turned into results (double in the grand final was awesome). One of the happiest moments in my life was having coffee with him during my work experience which for a 15-year-old was the ultimate achievement, we didn't even talk about footy which was nice. Whenever I play Oz-Tag, I always wear the number five and play right wing in respect for him. These are the reasons why he will always be my favourite Dragons player (I have the '250' jersey to prove it)."

"Tariq Sims: I think that Tariq is one of the hardest working players that there is. Week-in, week-out he gives his all. He shows such good sportsmanship all the time. He is very deserving of his Origin spot and is a great example for the young kids to look up to. I know my two grandsons admire him very much. A couple of seasons ago we were on our way back from an away game and we stopped in at Maccas and all the Dragon players were there too, and my two grandsons were at the counter ordering their food when Tariq started chatting to them. To say they were excited was an understatement. When the time came to pay for their order Tariq stepped up and paid for their order. We couldn't believe it. That is someone special."

A few of our Dragons players took the time to personally call some of our inaugural 20-year members to thank them for their long-term and committed support. Although we weren't able to call all 502 of our 20-year members, we are very appreciative of all of your continued support.

Game day half-time competition

These two Queensland-based members were drawn to participate in a half-time kicking activity during our Round 24 game against the North Queensland Cowboys at Rockhampton's Browne Park. First place took home a $500 merchandise voucher and second place received a $100 merchandise voucher – thanks to membership partner Westfund Health Insurance.
