St George Illawarra are proud to announce Andrew Dalley as the Red V member of the match for Round 3!
As a thank you for his dedication, Andrew was showcased during our Round 3 home game at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Thursday, March 24 and presented with a signed 2022 Dragons jersey.
Why was he selected as the Red V member of the match?
Andrew has been a Red V member for fifteen consecutive seasons and is also an inaugural NRLW member supporting our women’s team since its inception in 2018.
He represents the Red V at all home games with his Full Season membership and frequently makes the trip to away games in both New South Wales and interstate locations. Dragons fans may recognise Andrew with his iconic banners often seen on the hill which he brings to every game and shares them with other supporters.
Andrew was nominated by other members as being known for only ever wearing his Dragons gear and his large collection of memorabilia from both past and present players. He often participates in membership initiatives including attending member events both locally and interstate, as well as showing his generosity by donating his 2021 membership to the Dragons Foundation.
Who is Andrew’s favourite Dragons player (past or present) and why?
Andrew’s favourite player is Blake Lawrie. He actually looks a bit like ‘Blocka’ and for that reason I have given Andrew the nickname, ‘Blocka’. Lawrie's passion as a forward for the Dragons mirrors the way Andrew supports the Dragons. Andrew also actually appears on the header image for the Red V member of the match initiative.
