Dragons Teagan Berry and Mathew Feagai were among the players recognised at Wednesday night’s 2023 Dally M Awards thanks to their try-scoring pursuits.
Berry finished atop the NRLW’s try-scoring list with 11 from nine games whilst Feagai snagged the NRL Try of the Year Award for his Round 12 match-winner against the Roosters.
Berry was also a finalist for the NRLW's Fullback of the Year Award whilst Raecene McGregor was a Halfback of the Year finalist and Bobbi Law a Veronica White Medal nominee.
The 21-year-old’s transition to the back prior to the season set the platform for a breakout season as she finished first in the premiership in total runs, second in run metres, fourth in tackle breaks and fifth in line breaks.
She became the first player in NRLW history to score 20 career tries and made history as the first Dragon to score four tries in a single NRLW game in Round 6.
NRLW Highlights: Berry's big day out
Berry also enjoyed a try-scoring outing for the Prime Minister’s XIII in the side’s 56-4 win over their Papua New Guinean counterparts last Saturday.
Feagai’s Round 12 pearler, meanwhile, was one of the highlights of the NRL season with the 22-year-old the beneficiary of a near sideline-to-sideline effort sparked by a Ben Hunt short-side raid and bomb and capped off with a cross-field Tyrell Sloan kick which garnered a room service bounce.

The four-pointer tied the clash at 22-apiece with the siren sounding in the background and laying the platform for Zac Lomax to slot the match-winning conversion.
