The Dragons will play two NRL Pre-Season Challenge matches in 2024 including the club’s annual Charity Shield clash against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium and a meeting with the Wests Tigers at Mudgee’s Glen Willow Stadium.
The Charity Shield will be played on Saturday, February 17th at 8:05pm before the side travels to Mudgee to face off against the Wests Tigers on Saturday, February 24th, also at 8:05pm.
Although the Charity Shield will be held at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, it is a Rabbitohs home game meaning that members will need to purchase tickets through the exclusive buying window in early-January, with Red V members to be emailed with details in January.
The Charity Shield clash will be the second leg of a double-header with the Eels and Raiders meeting beforehand.
Due to the double-header, we recommend fans purchase tickets during the exclusive buying window to ensure they do not miss out.
The NRL Pre-Season Challenge format and points system will remain consistent with 2023 with $100,000 up for grabs.
A victory is worth 12 points, a draw six, and a loss zero with bonus points awarded if a team scores five or more tries, makes five or more line breaks, or five or more offloads.
The February 24 trial against the Wests Tigers ensures Red V fans in the Central West do not miss out on the chance to see some NRL players in action this year as the Dragons return for a seventh consecutive pre-season at Glen Willow.
