Paul Turner and Tara McGrath-West recently travelled to Batemans Bay to participate in the NRL's Road to Regions tour.
At the Dragons, we know we are at our best when we are making a positive impact in our community and working well as a team, and this was on full display during the recent visits along the South Coast.
During the two-day event, Dragons players and staff worked alongside NRL Community and Development members to pay visits to Mogo Public School, Batemans Bay Public School, Sunshine Bay Public School and Batemans Bay High School.
A junior league clinic at Batemans Bay was also held to support and empower rugby league communities and ensure their success in growing the game.
The school visits saw the players promote the importance of health and wellbeing through the Dragons’ The Best You Can Be program and the NRL’s Simply Your Best program which aims to ensure that students are making positive choices and being the best possible version of themselves.
We are fortunate enough to have several schools on the Far South Coast once again taking part in The Best You Can Be program.
