The Dragons fell to the Jets 26-10 in slippery conditions at Henson Park on Saturday.
Savelio Tamale crossed for his fifth try in four games to draw first blood for the Red V just shy of halftime off a timely Jesse Marschke offload.
The Jets hit back however on the stroke of the siren through winger Samuel Stonestreet to cut the Dragons' halftime advantage to 6-4.
Despite exchanges remaining tight until the hour mark, a four-try, 13-minute period broke the contest open for the hosts.
Joshua Cook, Mawene Hiroti, and Kyle Pickering all found their way over before Stonestreet grabbed a second to put the Jets up 26-6.
Mathew Feagai found a consolation four-pointer late for the visitors off a nice exchange of passing on his inside.

A Will Starling double proved not enough as the Dragons fell to the Sharks 22-16 at a wet PointsBet Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Starling got the visitors on the board just five minutes in before backing up his first-up effort with a second not long after.
Momentum soon shifted firmly the way of the hosts with Felix Faatili crossing prior to the break to eat into the deficit.
Michael Gabrael, Kristian Dixon, and Siteni Taukamo all joined the try-scorers list on the other side of the half to make it a quartet of four-pointers in the space of 17 minutes to put the Sharks up 22-10.
Hamish Stewart netted a try to stop the bleeding for the Dragons 51 minutes in and set up a tight finish only for the hosts to hold on for a six-point win.
