The Dragons are pleased to launch the club's Indigenous Range for the 2024 season.
'Connection' is the theme of this year's celebration, specifically cultural connection to Country and communities.
This year's jersey features Brendon Garlett’s "Spirit of Connection" artwork with the training range (Polo, Training Shorts, Training Tee & Hoodie) showcasing LaToya Kennedy’s "Connection" artwork.
The artworks highlight the club's Indigenous players' totems - a key element of belonging to Country and connection to identity - including the Goanna (Tyrell Sloan, Wiradjuri), the Whale (Jack Bird & Ella Koster, Dharawal & Gweagal), the Dolphin (Bobbi Law, Worimi) and the Black Duck (to represent the Yuin people throughout the club's catchment).
The jersey artwork demonstrates connection through the arches along its base which symbolise the mountains that represent the Indigenous men and women of the Red V.
The footprints illustrate connection to land and the story of journey with the Red V incorporated into the jersey design to symbolise the club's connection to tribal land and past and present Indigenous players.
The Training Range artwork showcases a meeting place with 13 Dragons players coming together and the smaller meeting places representing the sport's community.
The Cooks and Clyde rivers are represented through the escarpment and connected waterways alongside the players' totems.
