Dragons partner with Raising the Bar Foundation for 50-50 Charity Raffle

The Dragons are partnering with Raising the Bar Foundation (The Barstool Brothers) for Round 21’s 50-50 Charity Raffle at WIN Stadium against the Panthers.

The Barstool Brothers was formed in 2019 in Wollongong burger bar His Boy Elroy with the idea of creating a safe environment where men could enjoy a free burger at an organised monthly catch-up in a comfortable setting conducive to healthy conversations about mental health.

The organisation currently runs four-to-five events every month ranging from dinner and brunch catch-ups to walks, yoga, golf, exercise sessions, pinball nights and basketball events.

They also have a working partnership with Wollongong City RSL Sub-Branch to host six family events a year combining our community with the veteran community.

Thanks to the support of grants and fundraising like the 50-50 Charity Raffle, all events are free for men in the Illawarra to attend helping remove as many barriers as possible for social connection and alleviate isolation in the most at-risk demographic of suicide.

The Dragons focus heavily on the value of connection, and we encourage you to get along to Wollongong this Sunday to support Raising the Bar Foundation as our 50-50 Match Day Charity Raffle partner or, if you cannot make the game, purchase a ticket online.
