HARVEY NORMAN NSW WOMEN'S PREMIERSHIP

The Sea Eagles proved too strong for the Red V in their Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership clash at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday coming away with a 24-6 win.

Tries to Rebecca Riley, Aleksandra Tunufai, and Lavinia Tauhalaliku saw the visitors leap out to a 14-0 lead in the opening half-hour.

Second rower Jaimee-Lee Cotter got the Dragons on the board just shy of the break with the deficit at eight points heading into half-time.

Tauhalaliku snagged a second on the other side of the half before Tanika-Jazz Noble crossed an hour in to seal a handy victory for the Sea Eagles.

The Steelers nabbed their third win on the trot downing the Sharks 40-12 in a dominant display in the Shire on Sunday.

It also marked the Steelers' third-straight score of 40 plus with their attack firing on all cylinders in the early part of the season.

The onslaught started early for the visitors with Zali Yeo finding a try just four minutes in before she was joined on scoresheet by Maria Paseka and Kaarla Cowan to make it 16-0 less than 15 minutes in.

Koffi Brookfield was the next to score for the Steelers before Yeo found a second and Shae Muhleisen crossed prior to the break to give the side a 32-0 lead.

Tayleah Handcock snagged the opening points of the second forty before Paseka joined Yeo in the doubles column 51 minutes in.

Leki Leilua notched a late double for the hosts, but it proved in vain with the Steelers grabbing a win that sees them move into outright second on the competition ladder.
