KNOCK-ON EFFECT NSW CUP

The Dragons took down a Bulldogs squad riding a three-game winning streak 30-6 at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday to remain in reach of the Top 5.

It was Ben Woolf's squad's second key win in as many weeks after taking down the ladder-leading Bears a week ago.

Now with five wins from their past six, the Dragons find themselves just one win out of the finals picture with three matches to play.

JERSEY FLEGG CUP

The Dragons were unable to run down the Bulldogs at Collegians on Saturday going down 32-22 in a tough one.

The side dug themselves an early hole and, despite a Kyan Hjaltason-led, second-half fightback, fell short of digging their way out.

Aaron Hertsch's men now find themselves two competition points out of the Top 5 with a trio of vital clashes to come.

HARVEY NORMAN NSW WOMEN'S PREMIERSHIP

The Dragons are back in the winner's circle having downed Mounties 24-12 at Hurstville Oval on Saturday afternoon behind a Heidi Regan double.

The sides traded blows early with Breeze E’e finding a try four minutes in for the visitors before Mia Barber hit back moments later.

What followed was a type of stalemate with the score remaining 6-4 the way of Mounties heading into the break.

Logan Lemusu broke the deadlock on the other side of the half to put the visiting side up 12-4 entering the final half-hour.

Regan scored to kickstart the Red V fightback soon after before Breanna Wood crossed to earn the hosts their first lead of the match an hour in.

Regan found her second of the contest in the dying stages to put a bow on a handy Dragons win.

The Steelers' four-game winning streak came to an end in Figtree on Saturday going down to the Magpies 26-16.

It took 20 minutes for the clash's opening points with Anneka Wilson crashing over for the Magpies before quick tries to Tayla Curtis and Rhian Yeo put the Steelers in front heading into the sheds.

Alice Gregory extended their lead early in the second half before the visitors stormed home late.

Naomi De Bruine crossed with 25 minutes on the clock before a Cassie Siataga try tied things up soon after.

Danielle Seckold snagged two tries in four minutes late to seal the win for the Magpies.
