Grand Final Preview: Steelers prepare to face Knights in big one

The Steelers will this Sunday take on the Knights in the 2024 Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership Grand Final at CommBank Stadium.

It was an Indie Bostock hat-trick which helped power the Steelers past defending premiers Mounties a week ago to book their Grand Final ticket.

They face a Knights side who held off a fast-finishing Magpies outfit 20-18 behind an Isabella Waterman triple.

KEY TIMINGS

  • Date: Sunday, September 29th
  • Kick-off: 1:00pm
  • Where: CommBank Stadium, Parramatta
  • Watch: 9Now & NSWRLTV

The Steelers are riding a six-game winning streak into this one with Bostock having scored seven tries throughout the stretch.

The Knights meanwhile have won four of their past five having knocked off minor premiers Wentworthville last week.

The two sides have faced off once this year with the Steelers coming out on top 22-16 in a seesawing affair.

Captain Lily Rogan excited for Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership decider

Steelers head coach Jamie Szczerbanik has the luxury of naming the same side that surged past Mounties a week ago.

Tayleah Handcock wears the No.1 jersey with Bostock and skipper Lily Rogan making up a dynamic centre-pairing.

Jessica Patea – one of the four players in the side signed to an NRLW development deal – and Herewaka Pohatu – one of three who were a part of the Steelers' Tarsha Gale Cup premiership-winning outfit earlier this year – line-up on either wing.

Caitlin Moran and Koffi Brookfield are the halves with Kaarla Cowan rounding out the spine in the No.9 jersey.

Bronte Wilson and Jordyn Preston – who both made their NRLW debuts this season – headline the pack alongside Australian Schoolgirls rep Trinity Tauaneai.
