Dragons selected in PM’s XIII squads

Five Dragons players have been selected in their respective Prime Minister’s XIII squads for the October 13 double-header in Port Moresby.

Jacob Liddle from the NRL side and four NRLW players in Teagan Berry, Keele Browne, Ella Koster and Kasey Reh will make the trip over under coaches Brad Fittler and Jess Skinner.

For Liddle, his first green and gold jersey caps off a career-best season individually which netted five tries, 10 line breaks, 44 busts and averages of 43.5 tackles and 62 metres across his 22 games. He also received the Coaches’ Player of the Match Award in round 25.

Berry returns for her second PM’s XIII appearance having debuted at the end of her stunning 2023 season. Her figures in 2024 were again impressive, with eight tries, four assists, 41 busts and 155 average run metres across her nine games.

Kasey Reh, the Dragons 2024 Emerging Talent Award winner and two-time Coach’s Player of the Match winner this year, played all nine games in her debut NRLW season at the age of just 18.

Featuring off the bench, at hooker, in the halves and occasionally at lock, Reh contributed two tries, two assists, 249 tackles at 87% effective and 50 run metres per game in her breakout season.

Her PM’s XIII debut caps off a remarkable year in which she captained the Tarsha Gale Steelers to an undefeated season and grand final win, then captained the NSW Under-19s women to an Origin win in which she was player of the match before going on to play all nine NRLW matches for the Red V.

Ella Koster’s second season at NRLW level netted her three tries in six games to go with 132 tackles at 90% effective plus 50 run metres per match and the coach’s award in round five.

Keele Browne enjoyed an injury-free season after being hampered in 2023 and cashed in with 107 run metres per match plus three tries and two assists as well as some crucial defensive reads out wide and received the coach’s award in round four.

The men's team will also be captained by incoming Dragons recruit Damien Cook.
