The Dragons are pleased to announce that Teagan Berry has signed a contract extension with the club.
The deal with see the 22-year-old remain with the club until at least the end of the 2026 NRLW season.
Few NRLW players have crafted a resumé quite like that of Berry’s with the Shellharbour Stingrays junior the premiership's all-time leading try-scorer as well as the Dragons’ all-time leader in tries, points, and appearances.
She also holds the club record for most tries in a match (4), most points in a match (16), most tries in a season (11) and most points in a season (44).
In 2023, Berry was named the RLPA Players’ Champion having finished atop the premiership’s try-scoring leaderboard.
Berry – who made the move from South West Rocks to Shellharbour as a teenager – debuted for the Dragons as an 18-year-old back in 2020 having scored doubles in the Illawarra’s Tarsha Gale Cup Grand Final win and NSW’s Under 18s State of Origin victory the previous year.
“Extending Teagan was a priority for us heading into the new season,” Head Coach Nathan Cross said.
“She’s one of the game’s stars and has been a really important member of the squad for a number of years. She’s really starting to come into her own on and off the field and has been quite diligent in trying to perfect her craft as a fullback. Everyone knows about her try-scoring ability but being a great fullback means being great at the little things too and she’s beginning to understand that. We’re excited to see what the future holds for Teagan.”
Berry added: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to extend my time here at the club and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”
