The Dragons came away with a comprehensive 44-12 win over the Roosters in their Knock-On Effect NSW Cup clash at Collegians on Saturday afternoon.
Sione Finau nabbed a double, but the afternoon belonged to Knock-On Effect NSW Cup debutants Isaiah Fagalilo and Jarrah Treweek who found second half tries to put the result beyond any doubt and start the celebrations.

Corey Allan was denied a try for the Red V after Ben Rumble skied to reel in a Jonah Glover bomb only for the official to observe a knock-on.
It was Michael Molo who found the contest’s first opening over a quarter of the way in charging his way through in determined fashion to make it 6-0.
Allan was denied on a second occasion the following set in similar fashion after Rumble swallowed a Glover bomb and moved it inside to Nick Tsougranis whose final pass was called forward.
The Red V were tested on their line on multiple occasions, but Willie Talau’s men were able to force timely errors and repel the Roosters attack.
Raymond Faitala-Mariner and Lyhkan King-Togia combined to lay on more points for the hosts prior to the intermission with the former hitting his supporting five-eighth with a superb flick to make it a double-digit game.
The Roosters found their first points early in the second forty with Tyreece Tait finding space down the left flank off a nifty cut-out.
Chad Townsend’s conversion sailed over as the visitors brought it back to 12-6.
A cutting Cody Ramsey kick return propelled the Red V into strong field position with the hosts again turning to Faitala-Mariner for points with the barnstorming second slamming the ball down to extend the lead back to double figures.
The Dragons’ lead grew further soon after with Sione Finau taking in an intercept and racing off to score.
Hayden Barton was placed on report for a piece of foul play on Faitala Mariner the next set before Finau finished off a left-side shift several plays later to make two tries in as many minutes and give his side a handy buffer.
The Dragons’ clinical afternoon continued the next set with Isaiah Fagalilo finishing off an enterprising piece of play to score on Knock-On Effect NSW Cup debut.

After throwing the final pass for the previous try, Tsougranis got one of his own moments later as the scoreline ballooned out to 38-6 with a little over 10 minutes on the clock.
Tom Rodwell nabbed a consolation try for the Roosters but the final say of the afternoon belonged to Jarrah Treweek – another Knock-On Effect NSW Cup debutant – who plucked off a pass as the visitors looked to shift off the corresponding kick-off to dive over untouched.
It capped off a superb afternoon for the Red V who remain entrenched in tbe Top 4 as a result of the victory.
